Hassan Khan
Player Information
Hassan Khan Player Overview
Hassan Khan is a United States international all-rounder who joins Dubai Capitals for DP World ILT20 Season 5. Born in Karachi and a former Pakistan Under-19 captain, Hassan has developed into a versatile T20 cricketer who combines aggressive right-handed batting with slow left-arm orthodox spin.
Dubai Capitals secured Hassan for US$90,000 at the Season 5 Player Auction. His signing adds another experienced Associate international to a squad featuring established T20 players from around the world.
Playing Style
Hassan offers genuine value in both disciplines. With the ball, his left-arm orthodox spin gives teams a useful option through the middle overs, while his batting has developed into an increasingly aggressive part of his T20 game.
His recent franchise performances have shown that he can score quickly rather than simply provide lower-order support. That combination of spin bowling and attacking batting gives Dubai Capitals flexibility when building their playing XI.
Which Team Does Hassan Khan Play for in ILT20?
Hassan Khan plays for Dubai Capitals in DP World ILT20 Season 5. The Capitals bought the USA all-rounder for US$90,000 during the October 2026 Player Auction.
His signing was one of the notable investments in Associate cricket talent at the auction. Hassan joins a Capitals squad that also contains all-rounders Marcus Stoinis, Dasun Shanaka, Aayan Khan, Karim Janat and Mark Adair, giving the franchise several different combinations with bat and ball.
Pakistan Under-19 Career
Before representing the United States at senior level, Hassan was regarded as one of Pakistan’s promising young cricketers. He represented Pakistan at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and later captained the national Under-19 side at the 2018 tournament in New Zealand.
That 2018 Pakistan squad included future senior internationals, and Hassan’s role as captain gave him leadership experience early in his career. He also played domestic cricket in Pakistan and appeared in the Pakistan Super League before eventually continuing his career in the United States.
Major League Cricket Performances
Hassan strengthened his reputation as an all-rounder through Major League Cricket in the United States. Playing for San Francisco Unicorns in 2024, he scored 204 runs at an average of 40.80 and a strike rate of 143.66 while also taking 10 wickets.
His batting became even more aggressive during the 2025 campaign. Hassan scored 225 runs at a strike rate of 187.50 and struck 17 sixes. Across those two MLC seasons, he accumulated 429 runs from 262 deliveries and hit 30 sixes.
Those performances demonstrated the evolution of his game from a spin-bowling all-rounder into a player capable of making a major impact with the bat in franchise T20 cricket.
Return to the PSL in 2026
Hassan returned to Pakistan’s franchise competition in 2026 and continued to show his improved power-hitting ability. He scored 139 runs from eight innings at a strike rate of 195.77, with a highest score of 33 not out, while also collecting six wickets.
His performances across different T20 competitions helped rebuild his profile and ultimately contributed to both his USA international opportunity and his selection by Dubai Capitals for ILT20 Season 5.
USA International Career
Hassan received his first United States senior call-up in October 2026 during the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series involving USA, UAE and Namibia. The selection marked a new chapter in his international career after previously representing Pakistan at youth level.
He made his ODI debut for the United States against the UAE at Grand Prairie on 11 October 2026. Two days later, he appeared against Namibia, giving him his first experience of senior international cricket.
What Hassan Khan Adds to Dubai Capitals
Hassan gives Dubai Capitals a different all-round profile. His slow left-arm spin can be used as a matchup option, while his recent T20 batting record shows the ability to attack immediately and clear the boundary.
He also brings experience from cricket systems in both Pakistan and the United States. Having played youth internationals, domestic cricket and major franchise tournaments, Hassan enters Season 5 with a broad range of competitive experience despite only recently beginning his senior international career with USA.
Hassan Khan in ILT20 Season 5
DP World ILT20 Season 5 provides Hassan Khan with another opportunity to establish himself on a major franchise stage. His US$90,000 auction price reflects the value Dubai Capitals placed on an all-rounder whose recent performances have combined high-tempo batting with left-arm spin.
Dubai Capitals begin their Season 5 campaign against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders at Dubai International Stadium on 22 November 2026. Hassan’s ability to contribute in more than one discipline could make him a useful option across different match-ups during the tournament.
